This dough made into rolled out shapes dries to a hard finish and when hung in a room, gives off a wonderful smell.
1 cup ground cinnamon
11/2 to 2 cups of flour
2 cups of water
Bring the water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat, and stir in the cinnamon. The mixture will be shiny and stringy. Add the flour to the cinnamon mixture 1/2 cup at a time, stirring well after each addition. Knead the dough slightly after it has cooled a bit. Lightly flour a work area and have your child roll out the dough. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Use a toothpick to make a hold at the top of the shpae for hanging. Dry for one or two days, then hang them somewhere and enjoy the lovely, spicy smell.
