Do you have a skill or craft you could share with children?
ITC children have enjoyed hearing a piano player and talking about learning to play an instrument, we have watched a potter work with clay on a portable wheel and have enjoyed trying Oragami and watching as a volunteer folded cranes for a beautiful mobile which hangs in our lobby. We are looking for artists, musicians, and people who work with their hands to demonstrate their skills for children.

Are you a high school student who needs community service hours?
We have some short term jobs for you such as trimming brush, building and repairing toys and equipment, creating gardens or cleaning. Groups from Acton/Boxborough High school have swept our walks, weeded our yards and helped us organize storage. Students have come in after school to read to children and to organize “soccer” games. In order to volunteer to work directly with children, students need to be 15 years old, in accordance with Office of Education guidelines.

Are you a parent who wants to get involved in organizing ITC events?
Our parent-led volunteer Fundraising Committee organizes ITC annual events like the Art Show, the Annual Auction, the Holiday Sing-Along, the Annual Reunion Picnic, and our numerous community events throughout the year. New volunteers are welcome at any time, and help is appreciated for single events or throughout the year. If you're interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities or working on a specific project, reach out to the Events Team at events@itcacton.org.
